Usage of our IRC chat service assumes understanding of and compliance with our chat rules. To maintain a high-quality chat room, our chat moderators will take appropriate steps if any of the following behavior takes place:

• Making statements that are sexually explicit or grossly offensive, including blatant expressions of bigotry, racism, hatred, or profanity.
• Indulging in abusive, defamatory or harassing behavior or insults or personal attacks or threats of harm to anyone or promoting physical harm or injury to any group or individual.
• Promoting or providing information about illegal activities. You may not indulge in activities that infringe upon anyone else’s copyright(s). Specifically, you may not advocate illegal conduct or participate in illegal or fraudulent schemes. You may not use our chat to distribute unauthorized copies of copyrighted materials, including photographs, artwork, text, recordings, designs, or computer programs.
• Impersonating someone else or falsely representing oneself.
• Attempting to post or use of computer programs that contain destructive features, such as viruses, worms, Trojan horses, bot scripts, etc.
• Posting or transmitting of unauthorized or unsolicited advertising, promotional materials, or any other forms of solicitation of other users.
• Causing a disturbance that annoys others or causes them to leave the room.

Such behavior will result in the following:

• 1st time: You will be warned in public chat and advised which rule is being broken and be advised to stop your actions.
• 2nd time: You will be warned and kicked temporarily from the chat room.
• 3rd time: You will be banned from chat for 48 hours.
• 4th time: You will be permanently banned from the IRC server.

Our chat moderators are here to answer questions and to help players. Our chat is a free service and Management reserves the right to remove someone from the rooms without warning. To report violations of the rules of conduct or lodge a complaint against any moderators or IRC staff, please send an e-mail to community@twilightwar.com.

Users can be held legally liable for the contents of their speech and messages, and may be held legally accountable if their speech includes, for example, defamatory comments. Neither Smiling Gator Productions nor its internet access provider is responsible for the content of chat rooms. Users agree to indemnify and hold harmless Smiling Gator Productions and its internet access provider for any loss, liability, claim, damage, and expenses (including attorney fees) arising from or in connection with the contents of their speech and their use of chat rooms.
